About

Green and Blue and Black and Blue.jpg

The impetus of painting for me begins in a garden. Painting and garden are a source of refuge and solace, addressing curiosity, impermanence, beauty, decay and renewal-embodiment through direct experience. Employing strategies of both representation and abstraction, the paintings are made through a series of decisions dictated by ground, colour and mark making – the entire process building upon itself.
